DIY Watercolor Phone Case

DIY Watercolor Phone Case

Anybody who owns an older iPhone model or an uncommon Android phone knows how hard it is to find a case that fits your phone, budget, and taste. We started making watercolor art recently so I thought about using watercolor to DIY a case for my phone.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. Clear phone case
  2. Watercolor
  3. Paper
  4. Scissors
  5. Pencil

This is how to make it:

Step 1:

Trace the outline of your phone with a pencil

Step 2:

Paint your design & allow it to dry

*The “Sun Sea Sand” one was obviously a bust. Lol. I should have known that bad penmanship = bad watercolor lettering*

Step 3:

Cut along the traced outline

Step 4:

Flip the paper over and put the case on top. Trace the camera hole with a pencil.

Step 5:

Fold in the middle of the traced hole & cut along the outline

Step 6:

Place it in the case and you’re done!

I did my best. Hahahaha.

The design is not mine. I just searched google images for ‘watercolor tree’ and that one was the first thing that popped up. I needed a design to follow because I am not imaginative at all.

Joel made this one for me. 🙂

If the paper gets wet, no worries! It just means it’s time for a new case design, so take out your brush & let the creativity flow. #ThinkPositive
